The Player, also known as the protagonist in the horror game *Poppy Playtime*, is an unnamed former employee of Playtime Co., the toy company at the heart of the game's narrative.

The Player's first appearance is in *Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1 A Tight Squeeze* (2021), where they return to the abandoned factory ten years after the mysterious disappearance of its workforce. Driven by a letter from the company hinting at the fate of the missing employees, the Player ventures into the factory to uncover the truth.

The Player's motivations are primarily driven by a desire to solve the mystery and potentially rescue any surviving employees. They utilize their puzzle-solving skills and the GrabPack, a device allowing them to manipulate objects from a distance, to navigate the treacherous factory and confront the terrifying toys that now inhabit it. The Player's past relationship with Playtime Co. and their connection to the missing employees remain significant aspects of the unfolding story.
